We’re here, we’re here!
After everyone has been sick over the past few weeks (including food poisoning, sinus infection, tonsillitis, laryngitis, nasty sore throats and more), starting a new job (me!), and finishing off the last of the inside remodeling of our house (minus the bathrooms) – a vacation was long overdue. However, this time, Paul and I chose to stick close to home and play tourists in our own backyard. The kids are with grandma until Sunday, and we just checked into Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee!

Located just 1.5 miles outside of Walt Disney World, this breaktaking resort not only includes guest rooms, but a gigantic convention center (which also houses one of our FAVORITE holiday traditions, ICE!), a plethora of restaurants, and an all new water/pool area that is sure to please any member of the family!

We’re having breakfast with Shrek on Saturday morning, and will spend most of Sunday hanging out at the water park, and then will also be playing tourist at Walt Disney World (including Typhoon Lagoon on Friday).
We’re getting ready to head out for the day, and will be back a little later to talk more about this gorgeous resort – but look at the view from our room!

Sigh. I could live here. No, really – I could!
You can also follow us along on Twitter this weekend – we will be talking about all things Staycation wise here with @DisneyParks and @GaylordPalms!
We received a compensated stay at Gaylord Palms in exchange for review purposes only. All thoughts and comments are mine and my husband’s, and we were not compensated in any other way. That’s just how we roll. A huge thank you to Gaylord Palms for our stay!

Looks amazing!! Have fun!
Thank you – we will!
We’re already SO relaxed!
YAY! Good for you for doing this. I absolutely love The Gaylord. The restaurant there–Villa de Flora is one of our all-time favorites. If you go, have some sangria for me
I definitely will, Andi – we have a breakfast scheduled there on Saturday. I’ll make sure to have one!
This place look awesome. We tried to get it via priceline for our trip last month and ended up at Champions Gate instead. Our stay was nice but still would have preferred the Gaylord
Oh wow, what an awesome place to stay, I am SURE you guys enjoyed it! I’ve been to Gaylord for a few events, the spa and restaurants, but have never stayed overnight! check out that water/pool area, my kid would FLIP! Cannot wait to read more!
