Mega Bloks Fire Patrol Block Squad – Hours of Unlimited Fun! {{Review}}

Posted by Stephanie on Feb 29, 2012 in Uncategorized | 3 comments

We were recently given the opportunity to review the all new Mega Bloks Fire Patrol Blok Squad, and boy, was Zachary impressed and excited!

All missions are possible when you team up with the two Rescue vehicles of the Blok Squad Fire Patrol Rescue! Build the Fire Rescue Pumper Truck and roar through the streets of Bloktropolis with sirens blaring, carrying hundreds of gallons of water to help put out a fire. Have your Blok Squad Firefighters hook up their hoses and put out fires in even the most remote areas of Bloktropolis! Construct the Fire Patrol ATV and have your Blok Squad Firefighter ride through the toughest terrains to reach any country or city fire! Scout ahead to remote regions of Bloktropolis and help save trapped civilians in an emergency!

Team up both Fire Patrol vehicles and race at top speed to save civilians fenced in from a blazing wildfire!

Features:

  • Buildable Fire Patrol Rescue combo of Fire Rescue Pumper Truck and Fire Patrol ATV with 190 pieces
  • Includes 2 Blok Squad Firefighters
  • Collect them all and combine Blok Squad vehicles to create super rescue trucks to complete any mission and save the day!

While this set is idea for children ages 5 and up, Zachary was head over heels in love with his new building block set.  He loves fire engines and emergency vehicles, so he couldn’t wait to get it home and start building!

The colorful instructions were easy to read, and my husband had the set together in less than ten minutes.  Putting stickers on was quick and easy with the step by step guide, and soon there were two emergency vehicles sitting in our kitchen, ready to put out some fires!

The detailing on the Mega Blok items are one of my favorite things.  The faces on the firemen were “chiseled” looking, and the stickers had wonderful detailing on them.

Watch to see how easy it is to put this set together!

This set has already provided hours of entertainment for my toddler, and we’re looking into getting more of the Mega Bloks squad sets to build him a little city.  This would be a perfect gift for any kiddo – and at about $10 for the set, the price is just right!

You can purchase your own via Amazon, too!

We received a complimentary package from Mega Bloks and Team Mom for review.  All thoughts are our own.

A Year Later During Medifast @Medifast #MFers

Posted by Stephanie on Dec 24, 2011 in Medifast, Sponsors, Take It Off Mondays, Uncategorized, weightloss | 6 comments

This time last year, we took our family photos with our friend Star from Lil Paperia Photo.  Paul and I were so incredibly disappointed in ourselves after we got the pictures back – I wasn’t even sure that we’d ever take family photos again.  Especially professional photos of Paul – he greatly disliked (his exact words were, “I look f*cking terrible.”) his pictures and didn’t want me to even post or mail out our Christmas shots from last year.

I’ll admit – I was very much in the same boat.  I felt really gross and big.

It’s been nearly a year since I started my Medifast journey – and while I only had a small amount to lose, I have successfully kept it off, and have been doing things I had only ever dreamed of.  Like half marathons.  My next one is in two weeks with some really kick ass friends, and I can’t wait.  Buying smaller clothing.  Feeling less run down and filled with more energy.

Paul, who has been on Medifast since May 1st, has had quite a few more changes than myself.  Photographic evidence is really the key for this story.

We still have a long way to go.  I need to focus on toning up, and Paul has about 50 more pounds that he wants to lose, and then work on toning himself up.  He has, by far, the most drastic change in appearance between the two of us.  I don’t always see it, but sometimes when I compare my photos side by side, I see it a little better.

You like that random Blue Man picture?  Yeah, me too. :)  That was last weekend.  In my size 8 shorts, thank you very much.

But again – Paul?  Holy shit.

Something else I realized?  It kinda sorta looks like he likes his family in the new pictures.  Just a tad. ;)

He has a long way to go yet, but Medifast has been his savior.  Had they not helped him, he would have eaten himself into an early grave.  I am forever grateful for all that Medifast has done so far, and can’t wait to see what 2012 holds for us with them.

And guess what?  On December 15, Medifast introduced a new customer savings program.  If you use my new coupon code, GOOBER56, and sign up for Medifast Advantage when you order $250+, you’ll receive 56 free Medifast Meals and free shipping! Medifast Advantage has a lot of perks, including free customizable meals and a free BlenderBottle® with minimum purchase.
Here are the details: For your first order of $250+, use my code, and enroll in Medifast Advantage to receive 28 free meals. Do the same on your next order and you’ll receive ANOTHER 28 free meals!  This offer is only valid if you enroll in Medifast Advantage, and it’s limited to one per customer.  It’s not valid with prior purchases, any other promotions or discounts, or for Medifast Ready-to-Drink Shakes. Check out Medifast’s website for complete details on program and discounts.

If you’re wanting to lose weight, we’re pretty much black and white proof that it works – and you can keep the weight off – and this is probably one of the easiest programs out there.   Just look at the pictures above.
